The design of zenergize was carried out by Earth-Gentle Interiors in accordance with the sustainable philosophy of Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle.  Utmost attention was given to every detail—both for the health of your body and our planet's.

Green Building principles call for the utilization of non-toxic and sustainable building materials, and they were incorporated into the refurbishment of zenergize. Chemically sensitive individuals will be appreciative of the fact that our staff does not wear perfume and we have two rooms that are designated completely fragrance-free.

• The cornerstone design point of zenergize is the reception area's handsome green burl cork flooring. Natural cork is found throughout the rest of the facility. A quintessentially green product, cork is sustainable, renewable, non-toxic, hypo-allergenic and low-maintenance. It has the added advantage of high acoustical absorbency, which enhances the privacy and serenity of your massage experience, while being easier on the back and joints of your therapists, enabling them to give of themselves maximally.
  
  
• We clean it with organic linseed oil soap, so zenergize is free from harmful chemicals and offensive odors.  Unlike synthetic carpets, which can harbor molds and dust, and off-gas for months, our cork is stable and beautiful for decades.
  
  
• The restful sage green of the walls is just as restful to your lungs and nervous system as to your eye.  We have employed zero-VOC (volatile organic compound) paints throughout.
  
  
• The bamboo veneer on the reception desk is a sustainable, quickly regenerating resource.  This is an alternative use for a flooring product, which we encourage you to consider when choosing flooring for your home or business.
  
  
• No paper ever touches your skin, as we use soft cotton jersey covers for our fleece-covered face cradles and cotton sheets cover the fleece covers and body warmers on our top-quality massage tables.
  
  
• We use top-of-the-line air filters with baking soda in our ventilation system to keep the air in our spa pure and clean, free of dust, odors or fumes.
  
  
• Natural jute window shades were adapted to create unique fixed window treatments in the Reception and Photo Facial treatment rooms.
  
  
• The pedestal base for our innovative coffee table was created with the waste bamboo from the reception desk.  Artisans custom-made the top and mosaicked it with recycled beach glass, in keeping with the tropical motif here at zenergize.
  
  
• Our new doors are state-of-the-art Quiet Doors of molded fiber to minimize noise pollution.  They are more acoustically absorbent than solid wood, and reduce landfill burden by transforming waste wood into lovely doors.
  
  
• Our ultra-high efficiency laundry pair uses 60% less water and energy and cleanses our linens better than a top-loader.  It generates almost no sound, operating only at a whisper, to maintain your sense of Zen and never compromise your quietude.  Its sealed chamber reduces the #2 cause of indoor air pollution.
  
  
• The beauty of our European-style toilet is not just skin-deep.  It provides a high-efficiency flush at a low volume, with a higher and elongated seat for your maximum comfort.
  
  
• The avant-garde glass vessel sink with pedestal faucet have been incorporated onto a repurposed antique oak table.  This is a harmonious juxtaposition of old and new and brings out the best in each.
  
  
• High-performance, long-life compact fluorescent bulbs are used throughout zenergize, requiring substantially less energy to operate than conventional incandescents, keeping hundreds of pounds of hydrocarbons, nitrogen oxide, and carbon dioxide out of our atmosphere and reducing our nation's petroleum dependence.
  
  
• Absolute cleanliness is maintained using the least-toxic alternatives available.  Organic cleaners are used whenever possible.  No aerosols of any kind are used within zenergize, keeping our air clean for a healthier planet and a healthier you.
  
  
• We use only hypoallergenic grapeseed oil and massage cream.  Our massage cream has all natural coconut and sweet almond oils and aloe vera, heightened with arnica which aids circulation and dissipates bruising and ivy which tones and firms the skin, minimizing any cellulite.
  
  
• Hand-blown art glass ionic fountains send forth a mist that gently swirls out of the bowl to be absorbed by the plant below.  They moisturize the air ~ making it more comfortable, and also generate the same negative ions as natural waterfalls, which remove particulates and enhance a psychological feeling of calm and well-being.  The soothing play of colors as they cycle through the rainbow further reinforces the holistic health benefits.
  
  
• Only 100% recycled, unbleached toilet tissue is used in our highly evolved bathroom.
  
  
• Pristine spring water ~ bottled in North Georgia to save transportation costs and support the local economy ~ is offered to our clients after your massage to flush the toxins released by your therapy.
  
  
• Our linens are washed in detergent that is free of fragrance, dye, and phosphorus, keeping unnecessary chemicals away from your body and out of our water systems.
  
  
• Rugs are cleaned with a high-efficiency HEPA-filtered vacuum cleaner.
  
  
• Floors are sanitized with a steam cleaner.
